This Year's Theme is "The Musicals". The event starts on Saturday 5th July with a Fancy Dress Parade. Highlights of the Festival include a 10K Run through Saunderton and Horsenden and a Family Bike Ride. The event concludes on 12th and 13th July, with a large Street Market. Many events are being held each day in and around Princes Risborough. More Information to be published soon.

The DFL Group’s Drama, Dance and Musical Theatre for Life are Putting on a show to raise money for the DCHS Courtyard Appeal. Our variety show is suitable for all the family – so do come along and join us whilst supporting the school’s new arts centre, The Courtyard.

This Year's Carnival will focus on green issues. It is hoped that entries would like to enter a Float that isn't fuel driven. If an Organisation wishes to participate in the Procession or the Carnival itself, or wishes to put on an activity in the Central Arena, please make contact as above. All money raised by Amersham Round Table is distributed to local charities and local, needy causes.

Boarstall Tower will open additionally on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July from 2.00pm - 5.30pm (chargeable to non-members)
The National Trust is participating in National Archaeology Week at Boarstall Tower, listed Grade I, built in 1312 as the grand gateway to medieval Boarstall House (demolished 1778). This historic site, still enclosed on three sides by a most impressive moat, was the scene of much fighting during the British Civil War. The dig will concentrate on the site of the demolished house.

Under a new partnership between Amersham & Wycombe College and Wycombe Wanderers FC, you can gain 8 hours a week of professional football coaching by a UEFA ‘A’ licensed coach, while studying for a nationally recognised sports qualification which can get you into employment or university. Lighthouse is a holiday week for children run by Christians from all the local churches (Baptists, Anglicans, Methodists, and Roman Catholics) in the Great Missenden and Prestwood area of Buckinghamshire.

PRE-DRIVER TRAINING COURSE
The Road Safety Team at Buckinghamshire County Council is again working in partnership with the Wycombe & District Driving Instructors Association to promote a pre driver course. The Association of Wycombe and District driving instructors will be running a novice drivers training and road safety course on the 29th and 30th July 2008, this course introduces novice and young learner drivers to driving and road safety. It costs £95 for the two days. This 2-Day off road course held at Wycombe High School is for 16-18 year olds. It includes car handling in a safe non-highway location and is carried out by experienced local DSA approved driving instructors. The course includes procedures for obtaining a licence and preparation for the DSA Theory and Practical Driving Tests.
