PROGRAM FOR 2008 - CLICK HERE

Membership : Membership of the Society is open to all and at the modest cost of £18 per year, you will then receive a copy of the Aylesbury Canal Society Newsletter (published 3 times a year) which includes information on the many social events organised by the Society in the Basin and at other locations along the Arm.

Formed in 1971 to promote the use of the arm and to run the basin moorings which are leased from British Waterways, the Society has gained an enviable reputation for welcoming visitors. All boaters, hirers, private, cruiser or 70' "trad" are equally welcome. Boaters wishing to stay a few days should see our "WELCOME BOAT" for assistance. Short term moorings are generally possible for boats "weekending" around the country. But there is no need to have a boat to enjoy the tranquility of the Aylesbury Arm.  Why not enjoy a quiet walk along the towpath and escape the noise of the town for a few minutes, you'll be suprised how much peace and tranquility there is hidden away right in the centre of Aylesbury. Access can be gained to the towpath from Walton Street, Highbridge Road/ Highbridge Walk, the lower High Street or from Park Street where the first of the sixteen locks up to Marsworth can be found.
