CHALFONT ST GILES BOWLING CLUB
TO PROMOTE THE GAME OF BOWLS FOR ALL. WE HAVE MEMBERS IN THE AGE RANGE OF 10 TO 85 YEARS WITH MEN AND WOMEN HAVING EQUAL STATUS. THERE ARE COMPETITIVE GAMES (COUNTY,NATIONAL), FRIENDLY GAMES WITH OTHER CLUBS AND ORDINARY CLUB PLAY.

- £15.00 per annum. 2007 was a successful year for the Club -
winning the women's County League, the Chiltern and Thames
Mixed League and the women's team won the National Top Club Tournament. Chesham Bowling Club are planning great improvements to the clubhouse and
facilities. This will enable us to have a full winter programme including short
mat bowling. The County are interested in our youth programme and have said they

AMERSHAM TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB

CHESHAM Chartridge Park is a family run golf club renowned for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Established in 1990 as a nine hole course it is now an eighteen hole course designed by John Jacobs with many testing and interesting holes over water, trees and sand. Oakland Park Golf Club is a privately owned family business. The 18 hole, par 67 course with Driving Range is set in pleasantly undulating mature parkland on the edge of the Chilterns, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Designed by Jonathan Gaunt, a highly acclaimed member of the British Institute of Golf Course Architects, the course is easy walking, free draining and provides an excellent golfing experience. The Chiltern Karate Association has well established clubs in Amersham, Chesham, Chalfont St Giles, Holmer Green, denham and Aylesbury. We hold regular introductory beginners' courses which are open to men, women and childeren of all ages. The association has a strong family membership. Meetings : We meet every Wednesday night in Amersham Social Club
and then in the small room for our Club Meeting from 10:15pm - 11:00pm
approx. Membership : To join the club you will need to be a member of both CSAC and BSAC. The Branch membership includes use of all of the above.
We have exclusive use of Amersham Multi Pool every Wednesday from 8:30pm to 10:00. It has a variable depth from 0 - 4 metres deep. The club owns one boat, it is moored in Newhaven throughout the year, and is available for use all year round. We have a number of social events running throughout the year including charity events raising money for the RNLI. We have an active training program running throughout the year where we train from Club to Advanced Diver level

The classroom and the swimming pool are hired from Rickmansworth School on Thursday nights. Members and their guests are able to use the pool for swimming, snorkelling, octopush and dive training. We pride ourselves in being a family club and children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. A small fee is payable by each person to offset the cost of the pool hire. The club owns a Tornado 5.3m Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) named 'Seaspray' which is fitted with a 90hp Yamaha 'Hi-Tech' two stroke engine. We offer Try Dive Evenings to prospective members and to anyone who feels they would like to try diving out in a safe and fun environment before committing to a course or to joining a club. The Try Dive Evening costs £20 per person and consists of a lecture on safe diving, equipment and what will happen in the pool later, followed by an hour long Try Dive in the pool with one of our qualified instructors. These evenings are great fun for either an individual or a group and are a brilliant way of deciding whether diving is going to be for you.
