GUIDING GROUPS - RAINBOWS / BROWNIES / GUIDES

GUIDING IN AMERSHAM

We have Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section groups in Amersham. Most of the groups go on pack holidays, camps, and International trips (Guides and Senior section).

We have groups that meet on virtually every night of the week. The town is split into 2 districts- Amersham East and Amersham West.

Rainbows

If your daughter is aged five or over, she has the opportunity to become a Rainbow

Rainbows have fun! They take part in indoor and outdoor activities as part of their programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw. Their meetings are full of games and activities, which provide challenging opportunities for Rainbows to think for themselves, and take an active part in unit decision-making. Everything a Rainbow does helps her to develop – it’s an opportunity to look, learn, laugh and love.

Brownies

Any girl aged seven or over can be a Brownie. The oldest Brownies are usually about 10 years old

Brownies have fun! They take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge them to do their best! Their meetings are action-packed and full of challenges, games and activities, usually ones that the Brownies have suggested themselves. Everything a Brownie does is an adventure – it’s a world of excitement, new interests and friends.

Guides

Any girl aged ten or over can be a Guide.

Guides have fun! They take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge them to do their best! Guides choose and plan most of their own activities, which can include theme evenings, trips and all sorts of fun! Including: gliding, attended a pop concert, travelling to Switzerland, scuba diving and camping.

Leaders

We are always looking for volunteers to help with Rainbow & Brownie packs, Guide companies, fund raising, accounts, organise events, run stalls at the town carnival.

We are in urgent need of Brownie and Guide leaders and helpers in the local area.

We would love to hear from you if you can help in any way. Contact us by CLICKING HERE

CHILTERN NORTH DISTRICT SCOUTS

LOCALLY OUTSIDE OF AMERSHAM

Chiltern North Scouts provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for local young people aged 6-25 as well as adults in a supporting/leadership role. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential. These provide an active and exciting range of programs for young people to enjoy and learn from. All group are open to boys and Girls.
