Go Ape is an award-winning high wire forest adventure course of rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides... all set high up in the tree tops.

Providing a fun day out with friends, families or colleagues, you'll be fitted with a climbing harness and given instruction before trekking from tree to tree high above the forest floor.  Split into a number of different sections, the experience takes approximately 2.5-3 hours to complete but may vary depending on how many people are up in the trees.

Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Old Luxters is home to 'Chiltern Valley Wines', its vineyard, winery, brewery and cellar shop. Our first vines were planted in 1982 on the slopes of the Chiltern Hills, surrounded by beech woodland and overlooking the beautiful Hambleden Valley.  Our modern production, bottling and labelling facilities, cellar shop and wine vats are all housed in traditional farm buildings.

A small, open farm featuring the most comprehensive collection of goat breeds in Britain. Every British breed of goat, plus a few others, can be seen here. Other friendly farm animals, including pigs, donkeys, reptiles, rabbits and poultry are also on display. There are opportunities for grooming selected goats, and feeding the animals with bags of goodies available in the Farm Shop which stocks a range of toys and souvenirs. Kids, chicks and rabbits born in the spring time are often on offer for sale as pets. Ideal for all weathers as most animals are under cover.

A small, traditional working farm with friendly sheep, goats, pigs, cattle and poultry including the famous Aylesbury Ducks. The animals all have names and many are rare breeds. Special food is available for hand-feeding. The park also has a picnic/play area and a short countryside walk. Bring your wellies after wet weather!

Set in a typically lovely part of the Chiltern Hills, the Home of Rest was established in 1880s as a charity to help working London horses and is still funded completely by donations. It is home to 125 horses, donkeys and ponies, including many much-loved characters ranging from 30-year-old Echo, injured in the Hyde Park bomb blast, to Cleo - rescued from a car scrap yard - or friends Henry and Troy, who came here from a Donkey Sanctuary in Devon.

Boarstall Tower, the remains of a fortified moated house built  by John de Handlo in the early 14th century.  It was altered in the 16th and 17th century and  the Tudor and Jacobean windows and octagonal chimneys rising almost to the height of the turrets. At the back are informal 20th century gardens. Over the fields in 13 acres of woodland is Boarstall Duck Decoy set on a tree-framed lake, one of the few  working examples. The National Trust have an exhibition hall.

Built in 1460 by Sir John Cheyne and added to in 1526 by Sir John Russell (Earl of Bedford) the Manor House is now the home of the Macleod Mathews.  Both Henry VIII and Elizabeth I were entertained at the house, which includes a medieval well, dungeon and reputed priest hole. Its beautiful gardens include an extensive Physic Garden and two mazes. The visit offers guided tours and home-made teas.

Set on the cliffs high above the River Thames, Cliveden has a series of gardens, each with its own character, featuring water garden, topiary, formal parterre, statuary and glade (secret) garden.  The great 19th-century house, once the home of Waldorf and Nancy Astor is now an hotel. Part of the house and the Octagon Temple (chapel) with its rich mosaic interior are open on Thursday and Sunday afternoons from April to October

This stately home, apart from its other functions, has also become a repository for many private collections of Polish families and clergy, and today thanks to the care shown by the Marian Fathers and many volunteers, Fawley Court has a museum and library that boast unique examples of the achievements of a great European civilisation. These contain many exhibits from various periods, starting from a collection of religious paintings, through valuable manuscripts, parchments and incunabula, old writings, Papal and Polish historical documents, rare old maps, pictures and prints from 19th and 20th centuries, portraits of Polish Kings and heroes. Among them is the original Laski’s Code of Laws dating back to 1506, several documents bearing royal seals and a 16th century Bible printed for Prince Radziwill.

Milton's Cottage is the only extant home of John Milton, the great English poet and parliamentarian, in Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshire. It was in this grade 1 listed XVIth century cottage, described by Thomas Ellwood as "that pretty box in St. Giles, Chalfont", that Milton completed Paradise Lost, and the idea of Paradise Regained was put to him.

This listed cottage is one of the longest thatched buildings in Bucks. Once a beer house and then the Rose and Crown pub, it became a private residence in the 20th century.  Its most renowned owner was Enid Blyton who lived at Old Thatch from 1929 for a number of years.  The present garden of two acres, derelict until recently, has been brought back to life by Jacky Hawthorne, garden designer and present owner of Old Thatch.

With his French architect Destailleur and his landscape gardener Lainé, he built this Renaissance-style château in a dramatic setting. Waddesdon has one of the best collections of French 18th century decorative arts in the world, paintings, furniture, carpets and curiosities, lovingly assembled over 35 years by Ferdinand to please his weekend guests. Outside, his creation includes an aviary, flamboyant bedding, winding walks, colourful trees and panoramic views.

In the Museum you will be introduced to Amersham's history in a collection of exhibits from fossil and archaeological finds to the town's more recent past.
You will discover the stories of Amersham during Roman times, the "Amersham Martyrs" and the Medieval wall paintings, the coaching town and attendant wheelwrights, old local crafts of lace, strawplait work and chairmaking. There are personalities from the past, scenes of the annual fair, the story of a stately home (Shardeloes), the Brewery, fluctuations of the River Misbourne, local wildlife, reminders of wartime experiences... and much, much more.

Bletchley Park is open daily to visitors.  During World War II the German armed forces' top secret codes were broken at Bletchley Park, providing the Allies with vital information towards their war effort. Situated 50 miles North-West of London, Bletchley played host to a diverse group of code breakers. Among the ciphers that were broken were Enigma and Lorenz

Thanks to the generosity of the staff and customers of The Gamekeepers Lodge and of local businesses 'The Stables' has been refurbished and now has a wheelchair ramp. Although it began as an unfunded project, supported mainly by the generosity of local people and businesses, the committee hopes to achieve charitable status for Chesham Museum (The Stables) in the near future. This will enable the Museum to apply for a grant to mount a rolling programme of displays similar to those produced by the Chesham Town Museum Project and to hold a regular programme of family events aimed at involving local people in the history of their Town.
